Student Steel Bridge Competition
Fore!
Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston, La., is considering the addition of a disc golf course with a non-invasive, man-made river as a water hazard. And where there’s water, there must be a bridge for players, park employees, and maintenance vehicles to get to the other side.
No piers are allowed within the river, temporary or permanent. Because the river is man-made, however, teams may install and use temporary barges to facilitate construction--but at added cost.
Oh, and don’t forget: Lincoln Parish Park is one of the most popular in the nation because it’s particularly beautiful. This bridge must be aesthetically pleasing, too!
The 2024 Official Rules are now available, along with updated resources for teams, faculty advisors, and hosts. The 20 regional competitions will take place in spring 2024, and the top performing teams will gather at the Louisiana Tech University for the national finals on May 31 - June 1, 2024.
