Adopt-A-School Program
The future of the structural steel design and construction industry depends upon today's engineering students. AISC's Adopt-A-School program matches fabrication companies with universities offering steel design courses. The fabricator may offer shop tours to student groups, NASCC sponsorship for faculty, internships or co-ops, or ASCE chapter involvement among others.
Through this partnership, the students and educators gain first-hand knowledge of what working in the steel design and construction industry is like. In return, fabricators are rewarded with a pool of future engineers and architects who have been exposed to both steel in the classroom and the structural steel industry and will, when practicing, confidently select steel as a design and construction solution.
Educators and fabricators are encouraged to become involved in this mutually beneficial program. For more information, click on the links below, or contact Shanna Quinn, University Relations Coordinator (Quinn@aisc.org)
