Shapes Database
The AISC Shapes Database V13.0 (Current) provides electronic access to dimensions and properties of W-, M-, S-, and HP-shapes, channels (C- and MC-shapes), angles (L- and 2L-shapes), tees (WT-, ST-, and MT-shapes), hollow structural sections (HSS) and steel pipe (P, PX and PXX), as given in the AISC Steel Construction Manual, 13th Edition. U.S. customary and metric units included.
The AISC Shapes Database V13.0H (Historic) provides electronic access to dimensions and properties of shapes published in the Manual of Steel Construction since the 5th Edition, and shapes from before that era as originally published in the book Iron and Steel Beams 1873-1952 (the predecessor to Design Guide 15). The database is the compilation of all of the structural steel shape dimensions recorded by AISC from 1873-2005.

To access either database, click on the appropriate link below, save the file on your computer, unzip it, and open the unzipped file with Microsoft Excel. AISC Search Utility See notes below. (4.8 MB zipped folder containing executable setup application)
The AISC Search Utility for Structural Steel Shapes allows users to search shape properties for beams appearing in numerous past AISC publications from 1873 – 2005.
Minimum Requirements:
This program must be installed on an individual PC. It may not be installed on a network server. Operating System: Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, or XP Users of Windows 98 may need to install the Microsoft Data Access Components updates in order to use the Search Utility.
