Tim represents Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and southeast Texas. As the Southwest Regional Engineer, Tim’s primary responsibility is to make structural steel the material of choice by working with project decision makers during the early stages of projects, promoting the many benefits of utilizing structural steel, and connecting project design teams with members of the fabrication community to develop a beneficial steel solution for each project. Tim also serves as an educational resource to the design community on technical and economic issues related to building with structural steel. Prior to becoming a regional engineer, Tim worked for AISC as a business development representative in the southeast.
Before joining AISC, Tim worked for more than 20 years in the building design and construction industry as a structural engineer for various design firms, and within the structural steel fabrication community as Chief Engineer for Owen Steel Company and National Sales Manager for Commercial Metals Company.
Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Civil Engineering from Speed Scientific School at the University of Louisville, and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
