This course involves reading and studying the following technical article found in the Fourth Quarter 2010 issue of Engineering Journal: "Seismic Demand on Column Splices in Steel Moment Frames." The technical paper addresses seismic demands on column splices in steel moment-resisting frames. A comprehensive investigation was undertaken to evaluate the seismic response analysis of 4-, 9- and 20-story moment-resisting frames subjected to an ensemble of 20 strong ground motions. Upon completion of study, the attendee can purchase and take a 10-question examination testing his or her knowledge on the technical content of the article. Attendees are required to correctly answer at least seven questions to receive credit for the coruse and will then be able to download and print a CEU/PDH certificate for one contact hour.
