AISC Web-Based Steel Detailing Course

The Web-Based Steel Detailing Course has been developed by industry experts, for the industry!

This comprehensive course -- developed by DOWCO Consultants Ltd. and endorsed by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) -- is an invaluable tool for detailing firms, fabricators, and any other firms that employ people to prepare and review structural steel shop drawings.

Visit www.StructuralDetailerTraining.com for course details.

A cost-effective alternative to off-site instruction, this course meets the need for a comprehensive collection of protocol information on steel detailing that is needed by the industry.

Purchasing the course is a significant move towards increasing your firm's efficiency and productivity through on-site, self-paced education.

This web-based course has been designed to enable the student to obtain an entry level position as a steel detailer. The course may be taken by a high school graduate with no knowledge of the steel industry. The information contained within the course is also useful for experienced detailers.

Based on the content of the AISC/NISD publication Detailing for Steel Construction , the web-based course includes several quizzes within each chapter, individual chapter tests, an applied math module, videos and many other features.

Upon completion, the graduate will receive an AISC Certificate of Course Completion.

Certificates of Proficiency are available for those willing to take a final exam. Upon achieving a passing score (70% or higher), one of the following AISC Certificates of Proficiency will be awarded:

medal_gold_3 Gold - final exam score above 85%

medal_silver_3 Silver - final exam score between 78% to 85%

medal_bronze_3 Bronze - final exam score below 78%, but not less than 70%

Students should anticipate spending approximately three hundred (300) hours on the course and scheduling eight (8) hours per week for 10 months. This course must be completed within 18 months of the date it was ordered.
