NSBA’s Mission Is to Establish Steel as the Preferred Material for Bridges.  The National Steel Bridge Alliance is dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art of steel bridge design and construction. We are a unified industry organization of businesses and agencies interested in the development, promotion, and construction of cost-effective steel bridges.

 

Steel Bridge Suite Updated with New Steel Bridge Design Handbook

The fully completed handbook includes 19 volumes and six design examples which were developed by prominent engineers in the field and reviewed by a committee organized by NSBA.

All volumes and design examples from the new handbook, renamed the Steel Bridge Design Handbook, are now available for free as part of the Steel Bridge Design Suite.

Release of AISC Certification Bulletin 2013-1

In an effort to better communicate with our existing participants, AISC Certification will begin releasing Certification Bulletins communicating program updates and changes. Certification Bulletin 2013-1: Current Participant Conversion to Standard Based Bridge Certification Program provides information required to convert bridge certified facilities with certifications expiring in August 2013 or after to the new standard based AISC certification program for steel bridge fabricators. Conversion is mandatory for all participants. This bulletin can be found at www.aisc.org/bridgecertification. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding Bulletin 2013-1, please contact us directly at conversion@aisc.org.
