AISC Unveils New Insurance Program For Fabricators[INACTIVE]
March 03, 2006 From American Institute of Steel Construction
A new AISC Member Insurance and Risk Management Program is now available for AISC member fabricators.
The program was developed by The Assurance Agency Ltd., an independent insurance broker endorsed by the institute. Utilizing the buying power of AISC, this new program provides competitive pricing and terms negotiated with selected national and regional insurers; insurers who know and want our business:
Features of the new program include:
- A choice of approved insurers, rated A- or better by A.M. Best.
- Broad coverages designed specifically for fabricator operators.
- Unique risk management and educational services tailored to our industry.
- Contract review, certificate management and bond consulting services.
- Access through Assurance Agency or your local broker.
The following lines of coverage may be purchased as a package or individually:
- Property and Inland Marine
- Comprehensive General, Products and Completed Operations liability
- Pollution Liability
- Auto Liability and physical Damage
- Workers’ Compensation
- Umbrella Excess Liability
"AISC can retain greater control over our program by not endorsing a single insurer," explained Roger Ferch, AISC's president. "Assurance Agency has negotiated terms with a variety of insurers who are particularly strong in certain lines, geographic locations and with certain size businesses. This menu approach is calculated to better serve all members and to build AISC member buying power."

"We urge you to consider the new AISC Member Insurance & Risk Management Program when your company insurance comes up for renewal," Ferch said. "Your support of this program will help have a positive effect on AISC and supplement member dues payments."
