AISC Seeks Proposals for a Design Guide on Facade Attachments

August 25, 2005 From American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc.

AISC is seeking proposals from qualified technical authors to develop an AISC Design Guide on Façade Attachments to Steel Frames, based upon the provisions in the AISC 2005 Specification for Steel Buildings. This effort is expected to yield an applied and practical guide on façade attachments, geared toward an audience of typical practicing engineers with little understanding of façade and cladding issues. Proposals will be accepted by AISC through September 15, 2005. For more information, please view the full request for proposals at www.aisc.org/facaderfp, or email [email protected].

The AISC Design Guide Series provides detailed information on specialized topics related to steel design. To view examples of other AISC Design Guides, please visit www.aisc.org/bookstore.
