AISC Marketing Has A New Face on the West Coast [INACTIVE]
September 07, 2001 From AISC, Inc.
AISC Marketing, LLC., an affiliate of The American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc. (AISC), now has a new regional engineer representing the newly created Northwest Region of the United States. In addition to working with fabricators, structural engineers, and building owners on the west coast, Kimberley Robinson, P.E., will be heavily involved in AISC’s Design-Build initiative.
Robinson brings fabrication, design, and design-build experience to AISC Marketing. Robinson graduated first in her Civil Engineering class from the University of Utah with a degree in structural engineering. She also served as chair to the department’s Student Advisory Committee, which rated professors and affected decisions regarding tenure, retention, and promotion. Robinson was awarded the “University of Utah College of Engineering Graduating Senior Student Leadership Award” for her “outstanding leadership, achievement, and service for and in behalf of students and faculty of the College.”
Robinson’s educational dedication translated into a can-do attitude in her professional career. Robinson began her professional career as a Project Engineer at Hirschfeld Steel, San Angelo, TX. In 1996, she went to work for Mark Steel, Salt Lake City, as a Project Manager/Engineer. Taking her experience from the fabrication and construction side of the business, Robinson most recently worked as structural designer for Dunn Associates, Salt Lake City, where her work included several design-build projects.
The Northwest Region includes Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado. Robinson will be acting as a representative for fabricators and erectors, and work with architects, engineers, general contactors, builders, and developers within these states.
