AISC Launches New Facebook and Twitter Pages
January 16, 2013 from American Institute of Steel Construction
(Chicago, IL) – The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) has launched its official Facebook and Twitter pages. The social media sites will be used to provide up-to-date information on AISC and industry-related happenings, as well as opportunities for instant communication and networking with the steel design and construction community and the public.
"These pages are not just a great place to follow what's happening with AISC, but also learn about interesting events in the steel design community and construction industry," explained Scott Melnick, an AISC vice president (tweet him at @scottmelnick).
AISC’s official Facebook and Twitter pages will feature the latest AISC news and event updates, member benefits and announcements, public contests and more. In addition, they’ll provide an open forum for interaction and discussion with engineers, architects, general contractors, steel fabricators and producers, owners, students, educators and others involved in the structural steel industry.
AISC’s official Facebook page can be found at www.facebook.com/AISCdotORG. Simply “Like” the page to join. This page was formerly called the AISC University Relations page. The new page expands the offerings and provides a broader range of AISC information. Those who have already joined the page will still receive consistent updates for faculty and students and do not need to re-join the page.
You can follow AISC on Twitter (www.twitter.com) at our new official Twitter handle: @AISCdotORG.
