AISC Launches ‘Steel Selfie’ Instagram Contest

March 24, 2015

(Chicago, IL) - Show how much you love steel - on Instagram! The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is launching today a ‘Steel Selfie’ Instagram contest for industry professionals and college students to share their creative steel selfies and win prizes each month. The contest coincides with the introduction of AISC’s new Instagram account (@aisc) at NASCC: The Steel Conference, March 25-27 in Nashville.

To enter the contest, simply snap a photo of yourself with someone or something related to structural steel and upload it to your Instagram profile. If you’re involved in the structural steel industry, tag your photo with #SteelSelfieContest; if you’re a student, tag it with #SteelSelfieContest #Student. Then share your photo with friends!

Each month, 10 contest winners (five industry winners and five student winners) will be selected based on the number of “likes” their photo receives on Instagram. (Vote for your favorite steel selfies at www.aisc.org/steelselfievoting.) Winners will be contacted via Instagram and receive a $10 gift card to their choice of Amazon, Chipotle or Starbucks.

For the full contest rules, visit www.aisc.org/selfiecontestrules. For questions or comments, please email socialmedia@aisc.org with the subject line: Steel Selfie Contest.

AISC will be instagramming The Steel Conference and a variety of steel content thereafter; join in the insta-fun at the conference by captioning your photos with the official Steel Conference hashtag, #NASCC. You can also use the hashtag to keep up with conference updates and conversations by following AISC on Twitter (@aisc), and Facebook (www.facebook.com/AISCdotORG).
