While he was awarded the AISC T.R. Higgins Lectureship Award based on his recent paper on steel plate shear walls, this lecture broadened his focus to include elements of his work as well--which has encompassed new design concepts for seismic design, blast-resistance, and multi-hazard resistance concepts.
