Structural Stainless Steel Webinar (3 of 3)

This is the third of a three-part webinar series on the design of durable and resilient stainless steel structures. You'll learn how to choose the right stainless steel alloy for a specific project and how to design members and connections, with practical advice on fabrication and installation.

Part 3: Structural Stainless Steel Connections and Fabrication

This session covers the principles of designing stainless steel bolted and welded connections, particularly the comparison between the new standard, AISC 370 Specification for Structural Stainless Steel Buildings, and the analogous standard for carbon steel, AISC 360. The discussion will address connection design for both strength and corrosion and outline best practice fabrication procedures. Participants will also discuss an overview of the key differences between the new standard, AISC 313 Code of Standard Practice for Structural Stainless Steel Buildings, and the analogous standard for carbon steel, AISC 303.
