Composite Floor System Design Techniques [N14A]

This session will cover a variety of composite floor system design challenges. Composite slab design including resisting lateral loads will be discussed. The session will then address aspects of composite beam design including how openings adjacent to composite beams affect their design and behavior, shear stud calculations, and recommendations on minimum composite action.
