Design for Stability Using the 2010 AISC Specification
What does the 2010 AISC Specification require for stability design and analysis? How does one go about including these requirements in their design? This webinar is an introduction to the methods for incorporating the 2010 AISC Specification requirements into your design. Methods include First-Order Analysis, Effective Length, and the Direct Analysis Method, a method which eschews the need for a K-factor. Important topics that are discussed are member deformations, geometric imperfections, residual stresses and second-order effects.
This course is based on a past AISC Live Webinar.
You must purchase and pass a quiz to receive a PDH certificate for this course.
