Successes in Short Span Steel Bridges [B13]

The short-span bridge market, up to 140-ft span, is a very competitive place to do business, with other structural material alternatives available to bridge owners. This session will look at recent successes of steel use in the short span market, specifically the application of the Folder Steel Plate Girder bridge system. Additionally, an owner's perspective on utilizing a detailed analysis to compare steel with concrete for a short span bridge replacement projects will be presented.
