The Construction Market: Are We Still Stuck in Neutral? [N51]

It has been 3½ years since the banking crisis of October of 2008 and the rapid slide in construction activity that followed. Some segments of the domestic economy have experienced recovery but the building construction sector still has not gained traction for a significant increase in construction activity. When will construction activity pick up? Are we starting to pick up any speed? Are there really positive signs in the marketplace? Or is this the "new normal"? And if it is, what do structural engineers, fabricators and suppliers need to do to adapt?
