Steel Building Forum

Oakland, California

July 20, 2022

Featuring Duane Miller, PE, ScD

Join AISC for an immersive seminar on current design and constructability topics for steel buildings. This is an opportunity to immediately increase your understanding of steel buildings and network with industry colleagues.

The forum will feature Duane Miller, who will present on “Welding Myths that Structural Engineers Need to Know About”. Ten welding related myths will be discussed, some of which are partially, but not universally true.

In addition, AISC will provide an economic forecast, which will cover the economic conditions both on a state level and nationally and how it relates to the overall health of the construction industry. Schuff Steel will present on constructability considerations for various types of innovative steel systems.
