On January 1, 2015, AISC began including the certified participant’s address and unique certificate number on all certificates issued by AISC Certification. Addresses are noted as either the fabricator’s facility (where structural steel is fabricated and shipped from) or an erector’s main office of operation.
These items were added to increase program transparency for the marketplace (including contracting authorities, specifiers and general contractors) and will add an additional level of traceability for AISC Certified fabricator and erector participants.
