AISC is offering a free webinar next Friday, March 13, titled “The Case of the Disappearing Right Angle: Innovation in Architectural Steel.”
Over the past two decades, the use of architecturally exposed structural steel (AESS) has introduced many new ways of using steel in framing systems. Its application has developed to reflect appropriate responses to detailing that are differentiated by acknowledging the building function, distance to view and finish requirements. This live webinar will examine how these criterion impact the design of AESS. Discussions will include methods for creating curved steel and how they’re applied to buildings, as well as the modern use of steel castings and tension systems.
The 1.5-hour webinar will begin at the following times, relative to time zone:
10:30 a.m. PDT
11:30 a.m. MDT
12:30 p.m. CDT
1:30 p.m. EDT
This webinar is free to attend; however, registration is required. All attendees are eligible to receive 0.15 CEU/1.5 PDH. AISC encourages attendees to view the presentation as a group at one connection, if possible, to minimize the number of connections needed.
Registrants will receive access to a PDF file of the presentation slides prior to the webinar, a CEU/PDH certificate upon completion of the live webinar, and complete instructions for accessing the live webinar.
