AISC is offering a four-part webinar series, “Basic Steel Design,” beginning this Thursday, August 4. Hosted weekly on Thursdays, the series will provide an introduction and review of the basic principles of structural steel design and is well suited for those who have not designed in structural steel for some time or feel a basic review will improve their overall capabilities. It will follow the AISC Manual of Steel Construction, 14th edition and make reference to specific sections of the AISC Specification.
Each webinar is 1.5-hours long and will begin at 12:30 p.m. CT:
Session 1: August 4 - Introduction to Basic Steel Design
Session 2: August 11 - Design of Tension Members
Session 3: August 18 - Design of Compression Members
Session 4: August 25 - Design of Bending Members
