Free Steel E-Commerce Workshop Coming to Bay Area December 7

AISC is offering a free, half-day workshop, “Demystifying E-Commerce for Structural Steel,” next Thursday, December 7, at the Residence Inn in Pleasanton, Calif. This workshop will help shed light on e-commerce processes for procurement of structural steel and introduce attendees to steelXML, the AISC standard format for e-commerce.

The workshop will feature demonstrations and tutorials from companies that have implemented steelXML and can help attendees get started on a path to a more efficient, effective and automated procurement process. It is intended for those that buy and sell steel and are looking for ways to add automation into the process. Attendees will leave this workshop with a better understanding of e-commerce and a clearer path towards its adoption. The day will begin with a free continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and will conclude by noon.
