This Friday, September 15 is SteelDay! Have you made your plans yet? SteelDay offers plentiful opportunities to learn more about the structural steel industry and the structural steel supply chain. Numerous events, ranging from facility open houses to project site tours to webinars, are occurring throughout the U.S. -- and they’re all free. As part of the celebration, AISC is holding a social media contest for students to share what they love about structural steel.
Students: what do you love about structural steel, designing in steel, or find interesting about the steel construction industry in general? Put your thoughts into a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram post between now and SteelDay, and add the hashtags #SteelDay and #studentcontest to be entered into the contest.
All eligible entries will be reviewed by a jury of AISC staff members, and up to five winners will receive their choice of a new 15th Edition AISC Steel Construction Manual, a 2nd Edition AISC Seismic Design Manual or a pair of Beats X Wireless Earbuds (a $150 value). Winners will be announced on Friday, September 22.
