Man of Steel Turns 80

Superman turns 80-years-old today! Created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, the Man of Steel was introduced on April 18, 1938, in Action Comics  No. 1. He struck a chord with readers and, faster than a speeding bullet, he became a multimedia sensation, representing mankind's potential for greatness. DC Entertainment will publish Action Comics  No. 1,000 in celebration of this iconic superhero.
