“Global Marathon” Gives Boost to Women in Engineering

A free, online series in support of women in engineering and technology worldwide kicks off today. Timed to coincide with International Women's Day, the Global Marathon features live interactive webcasts, running through April. Created for women in engineering and technology by women in the field, the marathon delivers engaging conversations and actionable career advice. View the agenda here.

And in recognition of International Women’s Day, you can also read about two of the country’s pioneer civil-structural engineers, sisters Elmina T. and Alda H. Wilson, who were integral to the passage of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote. See the article, “The First Lady of Structural Engineering,” on the Civil + Structural Engineer  website.
