Cross writes, "As our country and world face the impact of a global pandemic, it is important to emphasize that the personal dimension of the pandemic in terms of its impact on the health, safety and well-being of our families, co-workers, friends and fellow citizens of the world is of much greater immediate importance than speculation on the economic impacts the pandemic will have.
