The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) has compiled a variety of helpful information and resources for navigating COVID-19 during this challenging time. AISC will continue to add new information to aisc.org/covid19 as it becomes available.

The Steel Joist Institute (SJI) has released the second version of its Joist Girder Moment Connections Design Tools. SJI developed the design tools to assist with the complex task of designing appropriate connections between joist girders and columns. 

AISC Standard for Certification Programs (AISC 207) is now available for public review until April 10, 2020. This document is an update to AISC 207-16 and adds requirements for hydraulic metal structures. 

Over the past 12 months, construction employment increased 223,000 or 3%. In February, jobs increased by 42,000.
