How have AEC firms responded to the COVID-19 pandemic? Zweig Group released the findings of its recent survey on the topic, which found that as of March 14, 2020, 15% of responding firms had made no changes to their telecommuting policies. By late April, 74% of firms had made changes to allow any employee to work from home at any time. With these changes, firms have largely found their employees can work from home effectively. Firms ranging from 50 to 99 and 100 to 249 people reported the highest rates of effectiveness, at 90% and 93% respectively.
