Congratulations! Your company got the project--so what happens next? Mark Holland, PE, of AISC member fabricator Paxton and Vierling Steel Co. walked participants through all the basic concepts necessary to plan and schedule the steel fabrication and erection process from project award to final billing in “Fundamentals of Projects Scheduling for Steel Fabrication.”
This session focused on topics like the critical path scheduling method (CPM), resource management, and how to simultaneously manage the demands of both the shop and customer. Emphasizing the importance of the project schedule, Holland incorporated real-world examples of how a schedule evolves over time.
This is just one of the many sessions taking place today and throughout the week. Our sessions run the gamut of steel design and construction and are organized into tracks like project management, design analysis, ethics, constructability, and more.
