In early April, Cal Poly Pomona played host to the AISC/ASCE Student Steel Bridge Competition (SSBC) as part of the Pacific Southwest ASCE Student Symposium. One of 20 regional SSBC events across the country, it featured 13 steel bridge teams from Central and Southern California and Hawaii, all competing for a spot in the SBSBC National Finals, taking place at Iowa State University on May 30 and 31.
