Among Sphere’s impressive feats is its ultra-precise design and construction.
Fabrication and erection tolerances needed to be on the order of 3 in., but fabricator W&W|AFCO delivered the dome to about 1 in. of ideal geometry. What’s more, they achieved the 1⁄8 in. required tolerance of the 160,000-sq.-ft media plane!
