The Steel Conference

We'll see you in St. Louis April 3-5, 2019!
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THE STEEL CONFERENCE?
THE BEST EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Unlike other conferences that issue a call for papers and then allow the presenters to simply summarize their papers, The Steel Conference instead selects topics of interest, then seeks out the top experts to present informative and practical seminars.
TOP-NOTCH EXHIBIT HALL
There are more than 275 exhibitors showcasing everything from fabrication equipment to structural engineering software. The Steel Conference is your destination for seeing the latest in equipment, services and software.
We keep the price of The Steel Conference affordable. Members can register early for less than $300, which includes dozens of technical sessions, keynote sessions, daily lunches, and entry to the Wednesday welcome lunch. Participants can earn up to 20 PDHs.
The Steel Conference includes more than 5,100 participants who are involved in the design and construction of the steel buildings and bridges. Whether you want to interact with the leading expert on wind design, the author of a design guide, AISC Code of Standard Practice committee members, or other professionals experiencing similar issues, The Steel Conference is the best place to connect.
Letter of Invitation
If you need a temporary non-immigrant visa to attend The Steel Conference, AISC offers an official letter of invitation for participants. The visa letter of invitation, though not required for the visa application, can assist as a supporting document. Simply download the letter of invitation, fill it out, and present it to the consular officer during the visa interview.
We suggest you apply for your temporary visa at least four months in advance of the conference. This letter does not guarantee admittance into the U.S., but can provide compelling evidence for immigration officials to consider. Please note that AISC cannot intervene with either U.S. embassies abroad or with the U.S. State Department on behalf of any participant.
Professional Development Hours (PDHS) at The Steel Conference
Participants earn one PDH for each hour of participation at a technical session at The Steel Conference. (One PDH is equivalent to 0.1 CEU). A numeric session-specific code will be given during each session so only those who participate will have access to the code. It is critical that you keep track of your session codes as this is the only way you will be able to obtain your PDH credit.
Register your credit hours at www.aisc.org/nasccpdh. Following submission of the corresponding codes, you can download or email a PDF of your certificate. If you're having trouble registering your PDHs, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
