The Steel Conference

Registration for 2019 NASCC: The Steel Conference is open!

We'll see you in St. Louis April 3-5, 2019!

Unlike other conferences that issue a call for papers and then allow the presenters to simply summarize their papers, The Steel Conference instead selects topics of interest, then seeks out the top experts to present informative and practical seminars.

There are more than 275 exhibitors showcasing everything from fabrication equipment to structural engineering software. The Steel Conference is your destination for seeing the latest in equipment, services and software.

We keep the price of The Steel Conference affordable. Members can register early for less than $300, which includes dozens of technical sessions, keynote sessions, daily lunches, and entry to the Wednesday welcome lunch. Participants can earn up to 20 PDHs.

The Steel Conference includes more than 5,100 participants who are involved in the design and construction of the steel buildings and bridges. Whether you want to interact with the leading expert on wind design, the author of a design guide, AISC Code of Standard Practice committee members, or other professionals experiencing similar issues, The Steel Conference is the best place to connect.

Professional Development Hours (PDHS) at The Steel Conference

Earn PDHs

Attendees earn one professional development hour (PDH) for each hour of participation at a technical session at The Steel Conference  (One PDH is equivalent to 0.1 CEU). Additionally, AISC is a Registered Provider with The American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System (AIA/CES), and some sessions are approved for AIA continuing education credit (LU or LU/HSW). You can find information on all of the AIA approved sessions here. Some industry and business focused sessions may not align with the PDH criteria for licensure requirements and have been assigned Attendance credit (AU).  Session credit information (PDH, LU, LU/HSW and AU) can be found in the program and in The Steel Conference mobile app.  It is ultimately up to the individual to determine whether or not the content of a session meets the requirements for his or her particular licensure.  In all cases, the credits earned will be noted on the attendee’s certificate.

A numeric session-specific code will be given during each session so only those who participate will have access to the code. It is critical that you keep track of your session codes as this is the only way you will be able to obtain your credits. For your convenience, you can keep track of the codes on the inside back cover of this final program or in The Steel Conference mobile app.

Registering PDHs

Register your credit hours on the mobile app or at Alternatively, there will be two credit recording stations located on Level 2 across from Room 260. Following submission of the corresponding codes, you can download or email yourself a PDF of your certificate. If you’re having trouble registering your credits,  contact us at
