IDEAS2 Entries Deadline Extended to October 13
October 5, 2017
(Chicago, IL) - There’s still time to enter your steel-framed building projects in the 2018 IDEAS2 Awards competition! The deadline for entries has been extended to Friday, October 13.
“The IDEAS2 Awards recognize the projects, designers, and constructors who best show their innovative and progressive ideas and the versatility, utility and beauty a steel solution brings,” said Charles J. Carter, SE, PE, PhD, AISC’s president. “We look forward to another year of amazing entries.”
The competition is open to all building types, sizes and costs, as long as the structural system is steel (wide-flange shapes or hollow structural sections). There is even a category for sculptures, art installations and non-building structures.
Projects must have been completed between 2015 and the end of 2017 and be located in the U.S. The contest is free to enter if your firm or any member of the project team is an AISC member.
Projects selected to receive the IDEAS2 Award will be announced during NASCC: The Steel Conference in Baltimore, April 11-13, 2018. AISC presents awards to the entering firm, as well as to the principal members of the project team at ceremonies conducted during the year at each of the winning project locations.
Information on the competition, instruction on how to enter and access to the online entry form can found at www.aisc.org/ideas2.
