Subscription Information
What to expect: When you purchase a subscription to a digital edition, you will receive an email confirming your access within 24 hours. The email will come from AISC Orders (orders@aisc.org), so be sure to check your spam folder. The email includes a summary of the terms of your subscription. The expiration date is also included in the watermark visible on every page of a digital edition. The watermark also shows the name and ID number of the user.
Privacy: The authorization database tracks user, browser type, and IP address for every successful and unsuccessful login. This information will only be used internally at AISC for quality assurance and troubleshooting purposes.
Secure Link: Access is provided via the "Digital Access" link to the left which links to the shortcut aisc.org/digitalaccess. You may have to authenticate with your AISC login credentials to access your documents.
Web Viewer: The document displays in a web viewer with PDF-like functionality. Access is tracked via browser cookies. If multiple users have logged into their AISC accounts in a single browser session, you should close all browser windows and start with a fresh session to avoid authorization issues caused by conflicting cookies.
Bookmarks, Notes, and Annotations: The web viewer contains annotation tools for text, comments, highlighting, drawing, etc. When connected to the internet, annotations are saved into your profile and are accessible on any device you log into.
Devices: For the purposes of this subscription, a "device" consists of the unique combination of computer hardward and a web browser. For example, accessing the manual via both Chrome and Edge on a single computer uses two devices. Using it on an iPad uses up another device. Using it on a phone uses up another device. Using a private browser window to access your subscription will use up one device each time a private browser window is used. Our devices limits are intended to accomodate a single user who may have more than one way of accessing their subscription. If you run into device limit issues due to hardware replacements, simply email us at orders@aisc.org to have your device limit reset. We may review your access history prior to resetting your limits.
Sharing Passwords: Sharing passwords is prohibited. Sharing your password to multiple users will quickly use up your device limit. All content is watermarked with your name.
Offline Access: Our offline access function is intended to provide offline access to a digital edition while you are temporarily offline, such as during and airline flight. Clicking the floppy disc icon in the upper right portion of the web viewer saves the encrypted document to your web browser. You will have between two and six weeks of access offline before you will prompted to log on again. Clearing your browser cookies may disable offline access until you download the document again. AISC makes no warranty, express or implied, that offline access will function for any specific period of time. If access to a digital document is critical, we suggest you maintain a reliable internet connection.
Printing: Digital editions may not be printed.
PDFs: We do not offer our digital editions in PDF format. PDFs are available via our authorized reseller partners listed on the publications customer service support page. However, you may access a browser-based version of the document offline. See below.
Multiple Users or Site Licenses: We currently only offer subscriptions tied to individual users. If you are looking to license more than 10 individual users at your firm, please contact orders@aisc.org with details and we may be able to arrange for bulk pricing. For more robust enterprise-level access using PDFs, visit our authorized reseller partners listed on the publications customer service page.
Refunds: Subscription-related purchases are non-refundable.
Questions: For questions not answered above, email AISC Orders at orders@aisc.org. You may also call us at 800.644.2400 or 312.670.2400, option 5.
