High-speed trains, electric airplanes, and more--all of these futuristic transportation modalities need a connection hub, and Then Le of Huntsman Architectural Group dreamed up just the solution: one built from structural steel.
In his Forge Prize submission, Trans-connect, Le envisions a multi-modal transit center whose skyport, bus and rail terminals, restaurants, and Airbnb spaces cohesively embrace the future of transportation. Ahead of the final round of judging, Le is working with Casey Brown, president of Zimkor, to further develop the technical aspects of the design.
Trans-connect is one of three visionary finalists for the 2023 Forge Prize. Join us live on YouTube on March 30 at 11:30 a.m. Central as each of the finalists presents their designs to the judges. The winner will get a $10,000 grand prize and the opportunity to present before an audience of the industry’s best minds at NASCC: The Steel Conference!
