FAQs

How do you attend a session?

Registrants should have received an email from registration@aisc.org with instructions on how to access the session links. When you join a session, use the email address you registered with and you will be allowed to enter. If the email address does not match the email used for registration, you will not be able to enter.

Can I register for more than one person? 

Yes, but with the Group Registration only.  Once you register for the Group Registration, you will be given instructions on how to add registrants. For more information on each registration option, go to aisc.org/flash.


How do you attend a session? 

You must register for the conference to attend. Register at aisc.org/flash. Links to access the sessions will be given to all registrants. When you join a session, use the email address you registered with and you will be allowed to enter. If the email address does not match the email used for registration, you will not be able to enter. 


How do you obtain credit for professional development? 

You must register for the conference to attend and receive a certificate for professional development hours. Register at aisc.org/flash. When you join a session, use the email address you registered with and you will be allowed to enter. If the email address does not match the email used for registration, you will not be able to enter. AISC will track your attendance for you and issue a certificate via email following the conference showing your total participation time.


Do all sessions offer PDHs?

Attendees earn cumulative professional development hours (PDHs) for participation in the sessions at The Flash Steel Conference. (One PDH is equivalent to 0.1 CEU.) Some of the topics may not align with the PDH criteria for licensure requirements in some states. It is ultimately up to the individual to determine whether or not the content of The Flash Conference meets the requirements for his or her particular licensure.


How many PDHs can I earn?

You can earn up to 10.0 PDHs over the course of the conference. 


Are any sessions approved for AIA Continuing Education Credit (LU or LU/HSW)?

AISC is a Registered Provider with The American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System (AIA/CES), and The Flash Conference has been submitted for approval for AIA continuing education credit (LU or LU/HSW). Information on approval will be posted soon. Attendees wanting to earn AIA continuing education credit must provide their AIA member number.


Do I need to register for specific sessions in advance? 

No, just register for the general conference and then use the session links (provided prior to the conference)and access the session(s) you'd like to attend at the appropriate time. 


How do I access the sessions? 

Links to the sessions will be provided in advance of the conference to all registrants. At the time of the session you'd like to attend, click on the link to the session and join using your email address used to register for the conference. 


Can I attend at someone else's connection and still receive a certificate?

No.  You must be registered for the conference through an individual registration, or a group registration (registered by you or someone else), and attend sessions using your own credentials. AISC will track your attendance by way of your assigned log-in credentials.


Does the Group Registration option let you self-report attendance for your group similar to typical AISC webinars?

No.  AISC will track attendance for all attendees. If you would like a certificate, you must register for the conference through individual, or a group registration (registered by you or someone else), and attend sessions using your own credentials. AISC will track your attendance by way of your assigned log-in credentials.


Will sessions be available to watch after The Flash Steel Conference? 

Most Flash Steel Conference sessions will be available in our education archives at aisc.org/educationarchives approximately 60 days after the conference. Please note that PDH credit can only be claimed for sessions watched during the live stream. You do not receive PDH credit for viewing the recorded sessions in the archives.
