Prequalified Connections...Incl. Supp. 1 and. 2 (ANSI/AISC 358-10 with ANSI/AISC 358s1-11 and ANSI/AISC 358s2-14) - 2010

Prequalified Connections for Special and Intermediate Steel Moment Frames for Seismic Applications Including Supp. No. 1 and No. 2. (ANSI/AISC 358-10 with ANSI/AISC 358s1-11 and ANSI/AISC 358s2-14) - 2010 has been developed by the AISC Connection Prequalification Review Panel in accordance with Chapter K of the Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 341-10). The connections have been prequalified for use in special and intermediate steel moment frames without the need for additional testing. The standard currently addresses seven moment connections:

• Reduced beam section (RBS)
• Bolted unstiffened and stiffened extended end-plates
• Bolted flange plate (BFP)
• Welded unreinforced flange-welded web (WUF-W)
• Kaiser bolted bracket (KBB)^†

• SidePlate connection^†

^† These connection chapters discuss the possibility that implementation of this standard may require use of subject matter covered by patent rights.
