Director of Preconstruction and Engineering

Curtis Mayes, PE, is the Director of Preconstruction and Engineering at LPR Construction Co. LPR is an industrial construction and steel erection contractor based in Colorado that builds complex projects throughout the USA. Curtis has a degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and has 36 years of steel erection engineering experience. He is currently on the executive committee for the Research Council on Structural Connections (RCSC) for which he has been a member since 2006. He specializes in complex and long span steel structures and has contributed to the successful completion of dozens of complex steel structures across the USA and Canada. Curtis is a firm believer that early, proactive and collaborative teamwork including the erector, fabricator and engineer of record will consistently result in the most successful project design and construction.
