NASCC registration now open

The 2014 NASCC took place in Toronto but returns to the States--Nashville, to be exact--in 2015.

Registration for the 2015 NASCC: The Steel Conference, taking place March 25-27 in Nashville, is now open.

AISC members can register for just $320 all week. But register early; the rate increases $10 every week until the conference opens, when registration is $480.

This 2015 conference will offer more than 100 sessions, nearly 200 exhibitors and plenty of networking opportunities (including our legendary conference dinner at a truly unique venue).

Unlike other conferences that issue a general call for papers, The Steel Conference carefully selects topics of interest and then seeks out the top experts and presenters. Some of the presenters are very well known, while others may not be household names but still bring a distinct expertise to the program. Speakers range from AISC's Charlie Carter on "Current Development in the Bolt Spec" to the Steel Structures Technology Center's Bob Shaw on "Engineers: Getting the Welds You Need and Want." The main conference offers up to 16 PDHs; but if you need more, the optional pre conference short courses can add 12 more PDHs.

In addition to practical seminars on the latest design concepts and construction techniques for buildings and bridges, the Conference offers an extensive trade show (featuring products ranging from structural software to machinery for cutting steel beams) and plentiful networking opportunities. It's a once-a-year opportunity to learn the latest techniques, see the most innovative products, and network with your peers and clients. And one low registration fee gains you admittance to technical sessions, keynote address, the T.R. Higgins Lecture, and the exhibition hall.
