Chevron Brace Connections Webinar Series

AISC is offering a two-part webinar series this Thursday, April 9 and next Thursday, April 16 on “Analysis and Design of Chevron Brace Connections with Flat Bar Gussets.”

Typically, chevron brace connections are detailed with one gusset plate used to connect all of the braces framing to a joint. When geometry permits, it may be more economical to provide a separate gusset for each brace. This two-part webinar series will present analysis and design procedures for the use of flat bar gussets in chevron brace connections. Part 1, on April 9, will cover low seismic and wind applications. Part 2, on April 16, will cover high seismic applications.

Both parts of the webinar are 1.5 hours long. On both days they will begin at the following times, relative to time zone:

10:30 a.m. PDT
11:30 a.m. MDT
12:30 p.m. CDT
1:30 p.m. EDT

The cost of the two-part webinar series is $325 for AISC members, $500 for non-members and $270 for students and educators. (Fees are based on a per-site connection basis. Purchase one site connection and any number of members in your company or organization may view the webinar at that site connection. All attendees are eligible to receive CEUs/PDHs.)

Registrants will receive access to a PDF file of the presentation slides prior to the webinar, CEU/PDH certificates for all attendees upon completion of the live webinar (0.15/1.5 CEUs/PDHs for each session, and 0.30/3.0 CEUs/PDHs total) and complete instructions for accessing the live webinar.
