Yesterday afternoon, AISC presented its 2015 IDEAS2 Award for excellence in steel-frame building design to members of the project team of the University of Oregon's Hatfield-Dowlin Football Performance Center in Eugene, Ore.
The center's three-story “Office Bar” office area is composed of a pair of full-story deep steel Warren trusses located on the east and west edges of the uppermost floor. The building also features a footbridge that connects two sections of the center above the main entrance.
For more about the project, see the MSC article “Flying High” (07/2014). For more about all of this year’s award winners, see the article “2015 IDEAS2 Awards” from our May issue.
