For generations, Mohawk ironworkers have worked on high steel projects throughout the U.S., with many commuting hundreds of miles across the Canadian border to erect skyscrapers in New York. A new documentary profiles Chad Snow, a member of the Mohawk tribe, who walks the city’s skies as a connector in one of the most tradition-rich ironworkers unions in the country.
Watch the 5 ½- minute video here for more on Chad’s story and a glimpse into the hard-working life of a Mohawk ironworker. This documentary is part of a YouTube series Unsung, which tells the stories of individuals who work day-in and day-out behind the scenes to help make a positive impact on their families and communities.
