AISC is hosting a two-hour continuing education course, “Design Smarter with Structural Steel: Sustainability + Multifamily, Hotel and Student Housing,” at AIA Portland on Thursday, December 3, from noon to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
This course will provide an overview of structural steel framing systems in mid-rise and high-rise projects, including case studies that support efficient and economical methods of construction, as well as a comprehensive view of the cradle-to-cradle structural steel supply chain from a sustainability perspective. Topics will include scrap collection, mill production, fabrication, erection, operating energy and deconstruction.
