The Steel Tube Institute’s HSS Design Manual is now available in three new volumes: Volume 2A, Volume 2B and Volume 3. Written by structural engineers to provide the structural steel industry with a comprehensive technical resource for using hollow structural sections (HSS), the new volumes were released last week at NASCC: The Conference and are available in both print and digital format.
Volumes 2A and 2B include design discussion, examples and capacity tables for columns (both unfilled and concrete filled), beams and torsion-tension members, while Volume 3 includes design discussion, examples and capacity tables for HSS shear beam to column connections and HSS moment beam to column connections.
