Anne-Marie Eischen Joins AISC as Vice President of Finance

Anne-Marie Eischen has joined AISC as its new vice president of finance, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the Institute. She replaces John Cross, who was AISC’s interim head of finance and who will continue to serve as vice president in charge of market development for the Institute.

“It’s an exciting time at AISC, where we are pursuing activities that build better outcomes for the customers of the steel industry and the steel industry itself,” said Charlie Carter, AISC’s president. “Anne-Marie’s financial acumen will help us do more with the funds we have, and that is a win-win for our members and the industry we serve.”

Eischen brings nearly 30 years of experience in finance and accounting with a proven record of budgeting, process improvement and strategic management. Most recently she was associate vice president of finance and information services at Chicago Botanic Garden. Prior to that she worked for more than 20 years for the Art Institute of Chicago, starting out as assistant director of auxiliary/retail operations and rising to the position of director of museum finance. She received the Art Institute’s Chairman’s Award in 2000 and in 2012. She began her career as a senior accountant for Tryad Automotive, Inc.

She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois - Chicago, and a master’s degree in natural resources and environmental science from the University of Illinois - Urbana. She is a certified public accountant.
