Steel Structure Trivia: AISC's New Digs

As of today, we have a new home! AISC has moved its national headquarters office to One Prudential Plaza, 130 E. Randolph Street, Suite 2000, Chicago, Ill., 60601-6204. One Prudential Plaza is a 41-story steel-framed tower in the heart of downtown Chicago, just across the street from Millennium Park. Our new headquarters, located on the 20th floor of the building, will provide additional space for both staff and meetings.

At the time One Prudential Plaza was completed in 1955, the structure was significant as it was the first new downtown skyscraper to be built in Chicago in how many years?
