AISC is presenting a two-hour continuing education course, “Sustainability and Multistory Residential: Structural Steel Framing Solutions,” at AIA Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dinner will be provided.
This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the cradle-to-cradle structural steel supply chain from a sustainability perspective, including such topics as scrap collection, mill production, fabrication, erection, operating energy and deconstruction. The program will also discuss structural steel framing systems for mid-rise and high-rise projects in the multifamily, hotel and student housing marketplace, and will include case studies that support efficient and economical methods of construction.
