Registration Open for SEAA Annual Convention

Registration is now open for the Steel Erectors Association of America’s (SEAA) 45th annual National Convention & Trade Show, which will take place April 27-29 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The event connects erectors, fabricators and general contractors, and tackles issues essential to steel erection.

Keynote speaker Brent Gleeson, a U.S. Navy SEAL combat veteran and acclaimed speaker and author, will address how trust and accountability are key to achieving high-performance teams, resulting in measurable economic impact. He’ll also provide tools for how erectors can improve trust within their organizations. In addition, SEAA will welcome Dean McKenzie, OSHA’s new director of the Construction Directorate, who will lead the opening session and provide up-to-date insight into the regulatory agenda affecting steel erectors.

The convention will also include six breakout sessions for either managers or field-level personnel. Field topics include how changes to aerial work platform standards affect users, how erectors can protect ironworkers from silica exposure, and applying fall protection drop testing results to the development of pre-planned fall protection systems. Management topics will focus on understanding social media legal trends and tips for managing corporate and employee activity, plus workforce development trends and success stories.

Other program highlights include a trade show featuring products and services, including demonstrations of cranes, software and welding equipment, as well as various social and networking events including a gala and awards banquet for projects of the year.
